Coming into Bozeman from Helena, gravel pits greeted us and led the way into open fields encircled by a landscape of hills in the distance. Farms begin their winter hibernation with dormant irrigation contraptions that look like dinosaur carcasses left standing in the fields. RR tracks on the north flank the highway. I catch sight of a sign announcing Bozeman as the home of Montana State University. Rest area. Why not?
Wow! So glad we lit candles at the cathedral this morning because we must have had a guardian angel on our tail. As soon as we pulled off the highway, winds whipped up high enough to rock Blisster pretty good. Soon trailers and semi’s were following suit, filling up the petite rest area. Wind speeds reporting at 27 mph with gusts of 40 – 60 possible. Rest rooms score a sparkling clean 9. Time for a nap in our rockin’ cradle.
